Every year, the students at Hogwarts take several trips to the local town of Hogsmeade, where all sorts of interesting and dangerous people and things can be found. Harry Potter has finally been taken off of the list of people banned from going and he and his friends are going to go and discover all sorts of things in that little town. Ron has his eyes on some butter beer; Hermione has her sights on some ancient book about the history and power of numbers that she thinks will help her in her quest to get an A in her arithmancy class. Harry Potter never really has his sights set on anything before he gets to Hogsmead, but he does always seem to find something to purchase. Dervish and Banges, while they do make tons of repairs, seems to carry some other interesting things as well. The last time they went Hermione stumbled upon some FRS healthy energy drink. Of course Ron and Harry wanted to buy some, but Hermione talked them out of it; she didn’t think it a good a idea.
They also found a great vareity of vitamins that were supposed to help with conjuring different spells. Ron, of course found something called super beta prostate that he wanted to slip into Malfoy’s beverage at dinner time, but Hermione quickly reminded him that you can’ t fight fire with fire. It is better to be nice to people then to show them the same discurteousy that they show to you.

Thanksgiving at Hogwarts is always such an exciting food fest. There is always plenty to eat, not that there isn’t plenty to eat any other time, but the elves in the kitchen seem to work a little harder in the kitchen around Thanksgiving as they always pull out all the stops. There won’t be any empty tummies after the Thanksgiving Day dinners have all been served: tureky, dressing, stuffing, coblers, cranberries, sweet potatos, mashed potatos, gravy, pies and tarts alike will grace the tables of each and every house from the Gryffindors to the Ravenclaws. Even evil old Malfoy won’t miss out on this awesome feast. With so much food go around its amazing that non of the students have an problems with obesity. They all seem to be in pretty good shape; of course it doesn’t hurt that they are all wizards and can get rid of excess weight if they want to. No you won’t catch any Hogwarts pupils doing a daily workout on a Weslo Treadmills in order to lose weight.
You might catch one of them doing an air climber exercise, but it would be purely for laughs and humor. Hagrid does have a rather big surprise this Thanksgiving that is sure to have everyone laughing. He has been raising a giant turkey for Thanksgiving, but instead of chopping him up for the big meal, he’s planning on keeping him as a pet and as a study specimen for his Care of Magical Creatures class, which should be interesting to say the least.

It is no secret that Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy simply do not get along. They are always at each other’s necks although most of the incidents between the two ar instigated by Malfoy himself. This year, Draco Malfoy has decided that he is going to pull the prank of all pranks on Harry Potter, right before the Thanksgiving Day Feast. As always, his hopes are to terrorize, victimize and embarrass the brilliant and courageous Potter, and to get a good laugh at he and his friend Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley if he can. Why not kill three birds with one stone right? Draco’s plan was to transfigure Harry Potter into turkey, very befitting for Thanksgiving right? Well, as Hermione, Ron, and Harry were coming down the hall toward the dining hall, Draco popped out from behind a hidden corner and began to recite a spell with his wand aimed steady. However, he must have had his wand turned the wrong way and his words all wrong because instead of turning Harry into a turkey, he turned himself into a Tony Little Gazelle! It took Professor McGonagall all afternoon to get him back to his original form!
But Malfoy wasn’t finished yet. He still had one more trick up his sleeve. He decided to try and make a death potion for Harry Potter. After all, Potter had just embarrassed him in front of the entire school once again. So Malfoy concocted a potion. He slipped some into Potter’s drink at dinner time and waited. He must have read the instructions wrong again because Potter grew about 30 feet into a giant and nearly crushed Malfoy, except that Professor Dumbledore was there to bring the situation to a hault. Apparatently Malfoy had given Potter some Human Growth Hormone instead of the death potion.

It’s that time of year again. Yes it’s midterms at Hogwarts which means that all the pupils will be studying hard to try and pass all of their exams so that they can be ready for next semester’s new and exciting curriculum. Everyone is getting ready for the big Transfiguration in professor McGonagall’s class. It’s one of the hardest. Last year, one of Malfoy’s followers accidentally transfigured the professor’s favorite pen into slim which she was not too happy about. The entire class laughed about it, but he ended up failing and has to stay back a semester from the rest of his class. Not to mention the points is cost the Slytherin house. Then there’s the Defense Against the Dark Arts midterm that was a bit difficult for Harry a few years back a required to bit of preparation on his part before the midterm so that he could pass it. And pass it he did with flying colors. He successfully got that Bogart back into its hiding position without a doubt. Preparing for these and other midterms requires quite a bit of work, but that’s why student are sure to take their Swanson Vitamins to keep up with their hectic schedules.
Students also are encourage to get a good bit of exercise in at least once a day to keep the body and mind focused, but to also give some relief from charms, potions, and astronomy. So some students have taken to running on their Proform Treadmills. Still others have taken to the skies on their brooms, as a release from their midterms at Hogwarts.

If you are a big fan of the Harry Potter series and have seen the movies as well as read the books, then you know that Ron Weasley’s entire line of siblings are a more than in shape….they are built. And it can’t be just because that play that awesome game of Quidditch every year either! Well let’s be honest, these kids live in the world of magic where staying in shape and looking good aren’t very difficult. But let’s just pretend for a moment that they lived in the world of muggles and didn’t have access to magic. How would they stay in shape then? Well, they would probably first and foremost understand the importance of a good diet, although admittedly, most boys of that age don’t actually participate in fad diets like The South Beach Diet as some mothers might. No instead, they’d just try not to eat too much junk food.
However, there is one thing to be sure of that they would be doing: a great workout. Boys in their teenage years definitely spend a lot of time lifting weights and trying to build up their muscle mass to not only look good but to impress the girls too. They’d definitely have a Total Gym somewhere and use it daily. So while none of us belong to the Weasley klan in the land of Harry Potter, we can take a note on how to look better and feel better. Good diet and exercise!

We all know that Hermione is the most responsible and sensible of the characters in J.K. Rowling’s best selling series of novels. And if she had to recommend diet and weight loss tips to anyone she would definitely recommend the following things. First and foremost, she would recommend a healthy and sensible diet. You can’t be healthy if you do not eat right. You need to make sure that you are eating a balanced meal and that your portions aren’t too big. If you have problems with diets, you might try the Mediterranean diet. It’s relatively easy because the meal come to you pre-packaged and virtually ready to eat.
In addition to dieting, Hermione would recommend the proper amount of exercise. Starting your own at home gym is a great way to get in exercise even when you’re on the go. Getting your own at home treadmill or other pieces of workout equipment including ab machines and more. If you would prefer to get a gym membership than sign up for 24 Hour Fitness so you can workout any time you want! But no matter what, think like Hermione and take care of your health the responsible way.

Harry Potter does many things in the Harry Potter series, but one thing he never does is take vitamins or concern himself with his health, aside from trying to stay alive or regrow his bones! But that doesn’t mean that vitamins aren’t good and healthy for the rest of us living in the human world! Vitamins come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and uses. There are several vitamins that are formulated especially for healthy immune systems which is really important during this season of swine flu! There are also vitamins formulated specially for energy and reduce tiredness. There are vitamins for children, for women, for adults, for teenagers, and even for the elderly. Swanson Vitamins is one such manufacturer of a variety of different vitamins and they are a great place to start.
In addition, there are vitamins that focus on a specific type of vitamin like A, B, C, D, Iron, Riboflavin, Zinc, and others. You can also check the vitamin shoppe for a variety of different vitamins to help you do a variety of different things. We are not wizards and can’t magically make ourselves healthy, but we can take daily vitamins which do help!

Well, J.K. Rowling is not exactly fat, but her wallet certainly is….but somehow I don’t think that she plans on putting it on a diet. That doesn’t mean that she’s fat though. She is very much in shape and looking good. You too can look as good as the famed author by simply living a healthier lifestyle. Nutritionist recommend eating balanced meals (if you don’t cook and don’t want to calories count try Medifast) and Doctor’s recommend at least 45 minutes of cardiovascular exercise a day (that means that your heart is having to pump hard and gets a good workout). You can easily do this with a treadmill like the Proform Treadmills.Don’t waste time…get started working out today!

I’m sure that if Harry Potter were fat, there would be some sort of spell or charm he could say that would rid him of any and all fat on his body. Unfortunately we do not live at Hogwarts and we have to do real work to get in shape. But if you want the magic trick to losing weight in the real world, all you have to say is diet and exercise….then you have to do them. You can begin with a diet plan like the Medifast diet plan and continue with an at home gym like the Iron Gym. I’m not saying that it will be easy as magic, but then again, it wasn’t easy for Harry Potter to learn magic, either…he had to go to school for that!
